Sleeping In...

My boy is taking after his mom and enjoys a lazy morning. It really doesn't work for us too well on school days, though. So I came up with a brilliant plan. I am going to get him to bed earlier, so he will wake up earlier. Makes sense to me, right?! Wrong!

He futzed around in his room for about an hour, ends up falling asleep in the rocking chair (which I got a picture of before moving him), and then gets up bright and early today at 6:00am! Ugh! Made me laugh!

It is so much easier to get out of the house when he wakes up on his own and has some "play time." Otherwise, it is, "No, mommy. Na-night time." As he turns away from me.

Annika is a sleeper-inner, too. Love it. The first summer that I was a stay at home mom was glorious. We'd sleep until 9 or 10 in the morning and then hit the beach. I got really spoiled and now am grumpy that my second kid is a morning person. :( Poor me....ha, ha...

6am!! What time do you have to get out the door?

We are out the door by 7am most mornings. When we move into mom's, he'll be able to sleep in. I am curious how it will go. Weekends he is up by 7am, and I am just thankful for the Disney Channel and cuddles.
