Heavy Heart

I write this entry with a heavy heart. This week our hearts were broken when we found out the baby we had worked so hard to create did not make it. I was 8 1/2 weeks along and had just heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago. But Tuesday afternoon, there was no longer a heartbeat. Our hearts are so very sad. I was given this poem from a dear friend, and I want to share it.

My Butterfly
~
I long to feel the soft weight of you
to welcome you home, with kisses
on silky round cheeks.
~
Instead my arms ache with the
weight of your absence,
the empty places that were meant for you
to grow into.
~
My love for you will last an eternity
My hopes and dreams now carried
on the fragile wings of each butterfly passing
compelling me to pause,
to savour each moment,
~
each flutter in my heart-
your wings.

Every time you see a butterfly, say a little prayer for Baby King. For this baby was created with lots of love and will be missed terribly. Thank you to all our family and friends for your love, support, kind words and gifts. You just being there helps us.

O guys, I am so sorry to hear this. Please know that we are thinking about you and have you in our prayers. We were up in Duluth this past weekend and drove by your new home, looking for ya. It didn't look like anybody was there. Maybe next time. We miss ya. Love Aunt Carol

Thank you for your kind words. I know you are all there for us. We are hugging our little Sean a little more these days. We are reminded daily of what a miracle he is.
